University of Latvia's Recreation and Conference Centre “Ratnieki” offers a spacious and versatile setting for romantic weddings in the heart of Vidzeme, within the territory of Gauja National Park – just about an hour’s drive from Riga. The complex is set in a picturesque rural landscape, where historic architecture harmoniously blends with the beauty and tranquillity of nature.
“Ratnieki” is a special place for couples who want to celebrate at a relaxed pace, away from the noise and bustle of the city. Six historic buildings, extensive grounds, options for outdoor wedding ceremonies and a variety of event spaces allow you to create a wedding that is truly your own – from intimate family celebrations to larger-scale events. Depending on the number of wedding guests, we can offer a range of venue and space options for your celebration.
We also take care of your guests’ comfort after the celebrations. The complex offers 157 beds, allowing both the newlyweds and their guests to enjoy the festivities without worrying about travelling home. The spacious grounds, sauna with a hot tub, sports fields and scenic Ratnieki nature trail also provide an excellent setting for relaxing and spending time together the following day.

- Kungu māja (Manor House) – 8 rooms with 22 beds; 100 m² function room suitable for 30 people
- Stallis (The Stable) – 15 rooms with 67 beds; 160 m² function room suitable for up to 150 people
- Baltā māja (The White House) – 19 rooms with 38 beds
- Lielā klēts (The Great Granary) – a pub and dining hall on the ground floor; two rooms on the second floor, each with 15 beds
- Sauna – terrace with a hot tub, sauna and a small relaxation area indoors
